It allows a first cut app to be developed quickly, and the device evaluated without the need for coding. An app can be prototyped and potentially delivered with just web development tools.
As a simple example, one might use Edger to create a smart fridge that can text you when its temperature gets too high. The Edger system makes developing custom smart fridge features accessible to anyone who can use a web browser.
